How Shield Global Solutions collects, uses and protects your personal data.

1. Who we are

This website, shieldglobal.sg, is operated by Shield Global Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”), 61 Ubi Avenue 2, #08-03, Automobile Megamart, Singapore 408898. We are committed to protecting your personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and other applicable data protection laws.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and our enquiry process, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

2. Personal data we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, or that is collected automatically when you use the website:

  • Enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number and the message you send through our contact form, by phone or by email.
  • Business information — details you share about your organisation, site, event or security requirements when asking for advice or a quotation.
  • Technical data — information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we use your personal data

We use your personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiry and provide the information, advice or quotation you request;
  • assess your requirements and recommend suitable equipment and services;
  • arrange and deliver products, installation, training and support you have agreed to purchase;
  • keep records of our communications and transactions;
  • protect the website against spam, abuse and security threats; and
  • comply with our legal, regulatory and export-control obligations, including verifying that certain regulated equipment is supplied only to authorised end users.

We will only use your personal data for these purposes, or for other purposes we tell you about and, where required, obtain your consent for. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Consent

By submitting your details through our contact form or otherwise contacting us, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see section 11). If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to respond to your enquiry or provide our services, and we will tell you what this means before we act on your request.

5. Cookies and third-party services

This website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work and stay secure. We also use the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies or collect technical data when you use the related features:

  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects our contact form from spam and automated abuse. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Fonts — loads the fonts used on this website.
  • Google Maps — shows our location on the Contact page.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the website, such as the contact form, may not work properly if you do. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy.

6. Disclosure of personal data

We treat enquiries as confidential. We may share your personal data only where needed for the purposes above, with:

  • our staff and authorised representatives who need it to handle your enquiry or order;
  • trusted service providers who support our business, such as website hosting, IT, email and logistics providers, under obligations to protect your data;
  • equipment manufacturers and suppliers, where needed to fulfil, configure or support your order; and
  • government, regulatory or law enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law.

7. Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers and suppliers are located outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps to make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

8. Protection of personal data

We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. These include secure (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to enquiry records. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required for legal, accounting or business reasons. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

10. Your rights

Subject to the PDPA and other applicable laws, you may ask us to:

  • give you access to the personal data we hold about you and tell you how it has been used or disclosed in the past year;
  • correct any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete; and
  • stop using your personal data, by withdrawing your consent.

We will respond to requests as soon as reasonably possible and within the time limits set by law. We may need to verify your identity first, and may charge a reasonable fee for access requests where the law allows; if so, we will tell you in advance.
